Trump sways and bops to music for 39 minutes in bizarre town hall episode

(Washington Post) The town hall, moderated by South Dakota Gov. Kristi L. Noem (R), began with questions from preselected attendees for the former president. But it took a sudden turn after two attendees required medical attention. "Let's not do any more questions. Let's just listen to music. Let's make it into a music. Who the hell wants to hear questions, right?" he said. ... He played nine tracks. He danced. He shook hands with people onstage. He pointed to the crowd. Noem stood beside him, nodding with her hands clasped. Trump stayed in place onstage, slowly moving back and forth. He was done answering questions for the night.

Harris: Even Trump's Own Aides Think He's 'Unfit and Unstable'

(Daily Beast) Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday bashed former president Donald Trump’s cognitive fitness and suggested his own staff may be keeping him away from the public because they’re concerned about his mental stability. In a podcast appearance Roland Martin Unfiltered, Harris pointed out that Trump hasn’t released his medical records, gone on 60 Minutes or agreed to another debate, unlike her. “You have to ask, why is his staff doing that?” Harris said. “It may be because they think he is unfit and unstable.”

Kamala Harris Surprises Rallygoers With Damning Video Of Donald Trump

(Huff Post) Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris slammed Republican nominee Donald Trump at her rally in Erie, Pennylania, using her rival’s own words. Literally. Harris made the rare move of airing footage of the former president on a big screen. The vice president set it up by telling the audience: “After all these years we know who Donald Trump is. He is someone who will stop at nothing to claim power for himself. And you don’t have to take my word for it. I have said for a while now, watch his rallies, listen to his words, he tells us who he is and he tells us what he would do if he is elected president. So, here tonight, I will show you one example of Donald Trump’s world view and intentions.”

Trump tested the limits on using the military at home. If elected again, he plans to go further

(AP) During his first term as president, Donald Trump tested the limits of how he could use the military to achieve policy goals. If given a second term, the Republican and his allies are preparing to go much further, reimagining the military as an all-powerful tool to deploy on U.S. soil. He has pledged to recall thousands of American troops from overseas and station them at the U.S. border with Mexico. He has explored using troops for domestic policy priorities such as deportations and confronting civil unrest. He has talked of weeding out military officers who are ideologically opposed to him. Trump's vision amounts to a potentially dramatic shift in the role of the military in U.S. society, carrying grave implications for both the country's place in the world and the restraints that have traditionally been placed on domestic use of the military.

Asked about political executions, Michael Flynn says 'gates of hell' will be unleashed under Trump

(MSNBC) Michael Flynn, who served as national security adviser in the Trump administration, let his fascist flag fly at a Christian nationalist event Friday. In a video recorded at the Rod of Iron Freedom Festival in northeastern Pennsylvania, Flynn responded to an attendee’s question about military tribunals and potential executions of Donald Trump’s perceived adversaries if Trump returns to the White House. The former president has vowed that Flynn, whom Trump pardoned after the retired Army lieutenant general pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI, would serve in his administration if he’s elected this fall.

TX-SEN: Ted Cruz and Colin Allred to meet in the only debate in the Texas Senate race

(Boston Globe) Republican Sen. Ted Cruz and Democratic Rep. Colin Allred will meet Tuesday night in the only debate of their Texas Senate race that could help determine which party controls the U.S. Senate. Nationally, Democrats view Texas as one of their few potential pickup chances in the Senate this year, while much of their attention is focused on defending seats that are crucial to their thin majority, including in Montana, Ohio and West Virginia. Cruz has urged Republicans to take Texas seriously amid signs that he is in another competitive race. The last time Cruz was on the ballot in 2018, he only narrowly won reelection over challenger Beto O’Rourke.

Cruz calls out McConnell-aligned group for not spending 'a penny' in Texas

(The Hill) Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R) vented his frustration with the Senate Leadership Fund (SLF), a super PAC aligned with Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.), for not spending any money in his competitive re-election race, accusing McConnell of using the group to “punish” his critics in the Senate GOP conference. “Mitch McConnell runs the largest Republican super PAC in the country and has $400 million but that super PAC is used to reward the Republican senators who obey him and to punish those who dare to stand up him,” Cruz told conservative talk-show host Mark Levin during a recent interview.

Geraldo Rivera just endorsed Kamala Harris

(Geraldo Rivera) "If you are a Republican, Donald Trump has made a liar of you. He has coaxed and intimidated tens of millions into pretending he was reelected in 2020, and that the election was stolen. ... Former President Trump is a sore loser who cannot be trusted to honor the Constitution. That is why I am voting for Kamala Harris to be our 47th President."
