I have been receiving shots in my left eye for over a year now. I started having obstructed vision in it. My ophthalmologist diagnosed me as having macular degeneration, but I wanted a second opinion. I went to an eye surgeon at a well respected medical facility. He said it was not macular degeneration, but an abnormal blood vessel that had formed under my retina due to the severe myopia I have had since I was a child. Due to the shots I have had so far, the blood vessel has shrunk. My vision has cleared, which I am eternally grateful to the surgeon and God for. Monday morning I have an appointment to make sure the last shot I had six months ago made what was left go away.
Please pray for me that it did, because I really don't want to have to get another shot. The whole procedure is extremely painful from the numbing process to the actual needle insertion, plus I am always terrified I am going to accidentally move at the wrong moment. I also loose half a day because it burns so much after that I have to keep putting wet compresses on it because it stings for hours after the procedure. The last visit he said I might not need one. I am really hoping and praying 🙏 I don't. Thank you❤️!
