(3,259 posts)91. My step mother recently passed. She was a devout Christian.
Church every Sunday and bible study multiple times a week. Interesting how similar in thought she seemed to be with you parents, outside of two things. Religion and the funeral. She left the funeral up to her husband. She viewed it as time needed for those she loved and not for herself. She understood with death comes pain. She asked my father to do what he thought was best to help people through the process. She viewed a funeral as a major step in that process. She wanted no say in it.

My parents were good planners also. Their cremation was previously arranged and we kept mom's ashes
