No end isn't painful. Yet it's a remarkable place you're in when you can say they've pretty wrapped up their story and are good to go. And you're okay with that.
I like their whole approach to religion and morality, and am glad you take comfort in the essential goodness of theirs and anyone's lives without religion.
I like that you're such a loving son who has such a good family.

My parents were good planners also. Their cremation was previously arranged and we kept mom's ashes
