The Falcons have been to the Super Bowl twice in the 53-year-long history of the franchise. I actually went to Super Bowl XXXIII in Miami (1999), the first time that the Falcons went to the Super Bowl, on the theory that it was highly unlikely that the Falcons would ever return to the Super Bowl during my lifetime (a reasonable assumption). They lost to Denver 34-19.

The second time that the Falcons went to the Super Bowl (Super Bowl LI), they blew a 25 point lead and lost in overtime to the Patriots. It takes a special kind of masochist to be a Falcons fan, but when it comes to losing football games, the Falcons are supreme.

Trevor Lawrence will be ours!
