One side...it would make sense not to jeopardize the health/safety of his players and/or starting line

The other side...Suggesting to his team that it's OK not to play the whole 60 minutes of football. Oh, and it's pretty insulting to the other team as well...telling them (without saying it) that they are too lame to play 60 minutes of football against them.

I don't know. I have mixed feelings.
