Is Tom Coughlin making a point right now?

Not only do you not rush on a kneel-down when guys livelihoods are on the line but you rest your starters and don't run up the score when it's in the bag

1. I can see two sides of this

One side...it would make sense not to jeopardize the health/safety of his players and/or starting line

The other side...Suggesting to his team that it's OK not to play the whole 60 minutes of football. Oh, and it's pretty insulting to the other team as well...telling them (without saying it) that they are too lame to play 60 minutes of football against them.

I don't know. I have mixed feelings.

3. Speaking as a Buc's fan ...

I'm embarrassed by this stupidity. Rushing the QB on the kneel down play? Is that how you get to a superbowl? If this coach wants to fight and win he should try passing the ball on 1st & 2nd down instead of only passing on 3rd and long or when he's behind with 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter. His offensive philosophy is straight out of high school or junior college.

that my first post in DU is one about football. (And I appreciate that there actually is a football sub in a political forum)

But Coughlin whiney? C'mon. The game was over. Show some class.
