In reply to the discussion: No one got up the story of NASA losing the last "moon" rock ... ROFL [View all]LongTomH
(8,636 posts)30. I can easily believe in a hoax that would fool the media (they're mostly dolts!).....
....but not one that could fool the world scientific community! Try this site for information:

That's from astronomer Phil Plait. You can also watch the Mythbusters take on the Moon Hoax Myth on YouTube:
Part 1:
Part 2: &feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL
Part 3: &feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL
Part 4: &feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL
Part 5: &feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL
That last part (part 5) has actual evidence that NASA astronauts actually went to the moon - contact with a laser retro-reflector left on the moon by Apollo 15 astronauts.
Or you can go to Phil Plait's more recent blog posts and see images of the Apollo landing sites in high definition imaged by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter:

If your OP claim means anything, it's that what NASA claims to be moon rocks are all gone

My OP means nothing because I didn't pick up the article -- as I made clear --

Not all tapes of the original moon landing are missing, just the telemetry.
