2. I gave up on Equifax a long time ago. As a way of verifying my identity they

asked me about 2 loans I supposedly have, I said none of the above on the list of banks they presented that supposedly held the loan, and they told me I would have to request by mail and send a copy of my SS card or a paystub with a SS number on it. I did that, never heard back. (This was via annualcreditreport.com)

I basically said screw it and now I'm OK getting my credit score weekly from Chase which also tells me the elements that went into my score and where I have loans and charge accounts and such. But it doesn't show me or provide a way to getting an actual credit report.

I suppose I should look at a real credit report again. The last time I tried, years ago, Experian and Transunion went OK via annualcreditreports.com .
