Has anyone tried annualcreditreports.com lately?
I go there once a year, for myself or for spouse.
Decided to try this morning. One can select one of the three reporting agencies: Experian, Equifax and TransUnion
I selected Experian and was met with a note that it does not accept requests, or something inviting me to call them directly..
and then was thrown off the site.
So I decided Equifax and got the hmm... page not found.
What bugs me is that in both cases I have already entered my SS number.
Anyone has tried recently?

I do not throw away any financial document, including credit card statements. But decided to start throwing them away, some from 10 years ago! So I needed to check. If the accounts are still on their report - the statements should be shredded. Otherwise, tearing and throwing to the trash (where eventually would co-mingle with coffee grinds, mandarin peels etc..)
Also mortgage refinancing that has been paid, many legal pages but, watch out for Social Security numbers!

(11,463 posts)asked me about 2 loans I supposedly have, I said none of the above on the list of banks they presented that supposedly held the loan, and they told me I would have to request by mail and send a copy of my SS card or a paystub with a SS number on it. I did that, never heard back. (This was via annualcreditreport.com)
I basically said screw it and now I'm OK getting my credit score weekly from Chase which also tells me the elements that went into my score and where I have loans and charge accounts and such. But it doesn't show me or provide a way to getting an actual credit report.
I suppose I should look at a real credit report again. The last time I tried, years ago, Experian and Transunion went OK via annualcreditreports.com .
