health which I have a tendancy to neglect --- hydration, good sleep, lower stress. It could just be that one thing that each of us does or doesn't do that might thwart this virus for each of us. Sometimes I thin of those who live on a ranch ranch in the middle of nowhere. Stock up, wait, no worries except about others. I thnk this is a great time to go inward and just be. Like a form of meditation. I also think it is a good idea to have a little cash on hand, a full tank of gas and a car packed with useful stuff, in case the shit really hits the fan. Being from Southern CA --- I have been through fires and quakes so I know the drill. When shit falls apart, it can fall apart fast. And government might not be there. That said, a shotgun and shells is not a bad idea either. BTW, I am not even a gun guy.

Four months ago, I made the mistake of going to Wallmart at 2:00 AM on Thanksgiving just to buy some eggs and milk, figuring it would be empty but there was a pre black Monday sale and full of lunatics people scoring big screens and stuff. Even the parking lot had a crazy vibe to it. It was the worst of humanity on full display. I had to leave. Same folks now battle for toilet paper and sanitizer. Sure seems like ages ago.

I know some oldsters (WWII generation). What they went through together, shoulder to shoulder, seemed to infuse them with an authentic sense of unity and caring for each other. I hope the same happens when this is over. I hope some good comes out of all this. Best to you and everyone in NY or anywhere. People are mostly pretty great if given the chance, you know?
