Is there any place that accepts books? [View all]

Yes, I know, the library, but we have many. I really wish there was a place, like senior housing, that have libraries that can use books. I have many mysteries, many out of print, that would hate to see just turn into pulp. I once was at the half price books and they were willing to take everything and I think they were going to 'handle" them.

There is the Women in Jail project but, again, I am not sure how many they would like to take.

And I've heard about organizations that ship books overseas, where they do not have access to books in English and, I suppose, not to the Internet.

This is the problem. So many now read eBooks..

I don't need to sell them, or even to take tax deductions. I'd just hate to see them thrown out..
