but if he does I just hope Dayton doesn't appoint someone as wishy washy as Amy.

If Al resigns, both Minnesota's senate seats will be on the ballot in November. Amy is up for reelection and there would be a contest to finish the remainder of Al's term. Then Al's seat would be up again in 2020.
