1. It's not an open primary--people would have to declare a change in affiliation.

I've already voted as I won't be in the state on election day (I feel bad, too because I give rides to the polls for quite a few people and I'm not sure my surrogates will take care of all my "customers" even though I've extracted a dozen promises). I don't know how big the turnout will be at this primary...we'll see.
