Related: About this forumShould Mass Dems vote for Santorum in Primary?
Just asking the question.
Wouldn't it be nice that the state where Romney held his only elected office ever got defeated in the Primary next week, March 6?
Of course, none of us support Santorum, but can we Dems show up and vote Romney down here where he was actually elected to be Governor ?
Wouldn't that make a statement to the nation?

(135,425 posts)I've already voted as I won't be in the state on election day (I feel bad, too because I give rides to the polls for quite a few people and I'm not sure my surrogates will take care of all my "customers" even though I've extracted a dozen promises). I don't know how big the turnout will be at this primary...we'll see.

Mass. Gen. Laws ch.53 §37
Affiliated voters must vote in the primary of their party; however, unaffiliated voters may vote in either primary.

(23,533 posts)Obama can beat Mittens or Santorum, as long as the election is not hopelessly rigged but what if it is?
We all thought dubya was unelectable in 2000, remember?

Yes, we'd resent it, again. We'd protest again. So what?

Than to vote for what you don't want .. and get it.
I wish I could who the quote is attributed to. I want to say Eugene Debbs but I could be wrong.

This is a horrible meme floating around, that dems should vote for Santorum because he would be easier to beat. Do you really want to be responsible for a flood of santorum in the White House, should he actually, by some twist of fate, end up winning the general election?
I didn't think so...

(21,020 posts)I'm unaffiliated, so I could have, but there was a bit of drama with the FedEx guy getting stuck out at the end of my driveway and almost knocking over my mailbox, Mr Pipi was out, and I can't drive the pickup with the plow on it.
I wasn't sure I wanted to chance getting stuck myself just for the sake of making a point, so...
oh well
