whether in D.C. proper itself or in VA/MD.
In a search, there was an article from the Bangor Daily News that had an AP report from 2011 (the Bangor paper has a paywall so I got a cached copy of the link since AP refuses to call up one of their older articles from a decade ago) - https://bangordailynews.com/2011/02/10/politics/susan-collins-buys-new-home-in-dc/usg=AOvVaw0BQidbQVQjX0JIbtZ3nomV
Susan Collins buys new home in DC
by The Associated Press February 10, 2011
PORTLAND, Maine U.S. Sen. Susan Collins still plans to return to Maine on most weekends despite buying a new home in the District of Columbia.
Spokesman Kevin Kelley confirmed reports that Collins sold her Washington home and purchased a larger four-bedroom townhouse near her Capitol Hill office.
She and Thomas Daffron, a friend and former colleague, purchased the home together for $705,000 as an investment property. Itll serve as her home-away-from-home when shes not in Bangor, Maine.

Some of these folks also "stay" at one of their colleagues', relatives' or friends' homes too, during weeks they are working in D.C.

They need to keep doing it. Getting it cleaned off every day gives her something useful to do.

A basic question. Who owns the sidewalks in Maine? The landowner or the taxpayers? Are they public?
