Advice on buying a new ereader [View all]

I currently have a Kindle Fire. It is okay but heading towards the end of its usefull life.
Plus I don't want to support Bezos.
I have a fair number of Books purchased on the machine and would like to be able to transfer them to any new machine.
I would also like to be able to run a browser and see some videos also.

Any suggestions as to what to get.
