49. Far too many people only saw what they wanted to see. "Believing is seeing" is its own punishment.

Thursday

They wanted to believe Trump would do what they wanted, even though he told them what he was going to do. They ignored the cognitive dissonance of the actual situation in favor of a self-imposed fantasy of Trump being a good leader.
For those who can actually do it, the awakening is slow and painful.

There's very little critical thinking going on in MAGA land.
