(13,784 posts)Basically, the "White Man Savior" attitude.
So, from what I've observed over 60- off years in the English speaking world, socially the "Social Value/Meritorious" system generally goes (from the top):
- Wealthy Christian "White" Hetero Males
- Other Wealthy Males (wealth comes first, then religion, then sexual orientation, then race)
- Wealthy Christian White Females (sexual orientation doesn't really matter)
- Professional White Males
- Wealthy and Professional White Females (wealth, then religion)
- Professional Males, other than White
- Working Males other than White (and Military, both male and female)
- Professional Females, non-white and Working White Females
- White Children
- Poor unemployed or minimally employed men (white or non-white)and Working Non-White Females.
- Poor unemployed/minimally employed non-white females and non-white children
- Poor Felons
Males are above Females, then Whites are above non-Whites, then Christians are above non-Christians, but Wealth and if one works for a living is the overall criteria. Money can cover a lot of "sins".
Education come a distant last, basically to differentiate the "Professionals" who have a career that can make money from drones who trade their labor to survive.
