24. I get all that. What's puzzling to me, though, is why their obsession with it

is so overwhelming and ultimately self-destructive. They are shutting down the government just to remove all traces of DEI or of anything that could be construed as derived from it. I'm not surprised that they don't want DEI in their agencies' HR materials or training; what seems insane is the scorched-earth efforts to obliterate it from everything, since the collateral damage will be considerable and the blowback will be enormous. FAFO, I guess.
