Here is some other coverage (Also, it's evident from other, earlier stories - no time to find links right now, but I'll look later - that Kuster did due diligence, getting acquainted with all the other candidates over the last few months. This was not a snap decision. And she seems like she's cut from somewhat the same cloth as Pete - thus, a natural ally. Glad that she's going to be a national co-chair).
