No, "Lauren"... I believe your friends are real, and I believe that "nobody you know" supports Biden. That much is true. I'll take you at your word on that. It's clear to me that you're telling the truth about that detail.

It's also clear to me that the reasons for publicly announcing that "nobody you know" supports Biden is to feed (and create) a narrative that Biden isn't likeable, and that his support is tepid and fractured. It's a passive-aggressive smear. It's negative, and it's not necessary.

You know perfectly well that things like that serve no good purpose. It only creates an atmosphere of negativity: Negativity generates apathy. Apathy discourages voter turnout. Low voter turnout gives Republicans a chance to steal the elections.
