30. Oh good grief

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.

I’m not voting for Biden because he’s exciting. I’m excited about voting for him because he’s NOT exciting. I like him because he’s steady and dependable!

I want a ”boring,” dependable candidate who says what he means, and means what he says, and doesn’t need a murder of howler monkeys to gaslight us into believing what he “really” said--which is nothing like what came out of his mouth.

I want a “boring,” dependable candidate whose word today is good tomorrow—or even five minutes from now.

I want a “boring,” dependable candidate who will be where he’s supposed to be and do the job he’s hired to do.

I want a “boring,” dependable candidate who I can count on to do the right thing for ALL Americans, and doesn’t expect to have his ass kissed for it.

I want a “boring,” dependable candidate who understands our constitution and how our government works—and respects the people who make our government function.

I want a “boring,” dependable candidate who is humble enough to admit he doesn’t know everything, but that he respects experts and their expertise enough to seek AND heed their advice.

I want a “boring,” dependable candidate who will have a staff and cabinet that are not only eminently qualified for their positions, but also will stick around longer than the shelf life of raw fish.

I want a “boring,” dependable candidate who knows that the worst way to keep our country safe is to alienate our allies and kowtow to monsters.

I want a “boring,” dependable candidate who doesn’t think he’s above the law.

I want a “boring,” dependable candidate who doesn’t attack his own citizens if they disagree with him or don’t praise him enough.

I want a “boring,” dependable candidate who won’t treat our press with contempt when they report the truth, even if that truth is detrimental to him.

I want a “boring,” dependable candidate who isn’t constantly stirring up chaos and hate and drama.

I want a “boring,” dependable candidate I can count on to do all of these things so that I can focus on living my life, and can even, you know, forget about politics sometimes, because I know the guy in charge will be doing his damned job.

I want a “boring,” dependable candidate who will let me sleep at night without worrying that he’ll blow up the government or even the world if he’s not watched constantly.

And that is why I support Biden. Because he will be that “boring,” dependable guy who gets shit done without a bunch of drama. I’m sick to death of excitement and drama.
