(42,862 posts)I care. If his smears and attacks on the Democratic party (and the process) are not refuted, then they become "fact" in the minds of many. By not dropping out and endorsing Joe Biden, it gives his surrogates more opportunities to kneecap Biden.
It's a dangerous game. It really serves no good purpose. His top campaign staff continue their efforts at kneecapping Biden and denigrating the party. Such efforts do not help Bernie at this late date. But it does help to divide and weaken the Democratic party.
We can't ignore that. This isn't just something that loyal Democrats "ignore" and "move on" from. It's a threat that must continually be addressed. It's an unnecessary distraction that prevents us from being able to focus all of our attention on bringing down Trump and the GOP.
