Congratulations to our presumptive Democratic nominee, Joe Biden!
Democratic Primaries
In reply to the discussion: Sanders: "Stay away from me" [View all]George II
(67,782 posts)54. Did he still earn his full pay even though he didn't vote?
BTW, you'll find this interesting:
Sen. Sanders has missed 61.6% of votes in the 116th Congress (2019-20). This makes him the 1st most absent member of the Senate.
https://projects.propublica.org/represent/members/S000033/votes-missed/116
Also, from June 28 through January 8 he missed 244 consecutive votes. That's 6-1/2 MONTHS during which he didn't cast a single vote in the Senate, didn't even step foot in the Senate chamber. That spanned $92,807 worth of salary that he collected for not showing up a single day.
If any of us tried that we'd get fired within a week or two.
There was no risk of contact with COVID-19 during that time.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

If this is such a problem for him that he has to bark "Stay away from me" at people in his midst

I do not blame him for wanting to be safe. I take issue with how abrupt and bossy he is.
