(7,947 posts)And as for powerless, come on. I have a woman friend who is 64 and hoping to reach 65 and Medicare before the breast cancer comes back.
We can trade sad stories forever. MOST people, old or young, have little power. We do have the power to vote, at least, and I hope everyone who supported a candidate who isn't the nominee will use that vote to defeat Trump.
Nothing the young people want-- nothing-- will happen if Trump wins another term. Much of it can (maybe, depending on Congress) happen if a Democrat wins.
I just heard another. The START agreement (nuclear) is set to expire in January. Trump seems eager to let it expire (ostensibly because he wants China in it, but probably because Putin wants it expired). A Democrat in office in January won't let it expire.
