45. What I remember from back then is that a kilo of weed was usually a whole compressed plant.

Stems, leaves, the works, mashed into a brick of weed. $200CDN.
You pulled out the stems and bagged it.
It wasn't "bud", that's for damn sure.

It either did the trick or you were ostracised for the burn.

I think a lot of the reminiscing of geezers munges a lot of different factors, the first and most important being that they were young then, and let me reiterate that. It counts. Others being that electric music was just invented, that there was an alternative culture opposed to the Vietnam war was certainly a social factor == but as for the pot, the only thing distinctive about it is that some dealers could figure the difference between a male and female plant, on a good day.
