I was just reading how to identify sex earlier. Wish I had read it sooner.
Six weeks to harvest??? That's just crazy to me.
My guy friend ( I don't know what to call him because "boyfriend" sounds stupid at our ages) had grown in the past, and he told me that it'll be late fall before harvest. Last year my son decided to see if he could still grow pot, and bought five seeds. Out of those, one was female. He moved to another state, so I was left with the plant. My daughter indulges, and she said it was great, and brought me seeds from that plant, so that's what I'm growing. I started them on a seed mat, and then added grow lights, and finally transferred them outside. I probably put them too close together. I honestly didn't think they'd do much. I've got a huge back yard, but I wanted to put them where I was positive that the sprinklers would get to them in case I went out of town, and also where I didn't think they'd bother neighbors too much. Another factor was making sure that they weren't visible from the street so they'd be safe.
The funny thing is that my guy friend took five of the seedlings, and his aren't doing nearly as well as mine. But who knows, his may end up doing better than mine.
I'm not much of a gardener, but I'm cautiously proud of my little crop.
