Dear Friends and Moonbats,
Late last night, a well-known Purity-Left Libertarian troll who goes by the moniker of "Manny Goldstein" first praised Glenn Greenwald, then doubled down on the FAIL with a post claiming that members of Abrahamic religions other than Islam have killed people while claiming that their religion told them to kill, and wondering if these people just want to kill and they use religion as an excuse to do so.
Yes, he did.
Fortunately, many good DUers understood the astonishing horror of Mr. Goldstein's clear advocacy of ISIS's actions in his latter post, and let him know that his sort of sick garbage is NOT OK on a Democratic web site: his post is like England's glorious skies during the Battle of Britain, starring Goldstein as the treacherous Huns!
Then, just a few hours later at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, President Obama showed us why we voted for this magnificent and beautiful human being: he told the assembled crowd that members of Abrahamic religions other than Islam have killed people while claiming that their religion told them to kill, and wondered if these people just want to kill and they use religion as an excuse to do so.
WHOOMP! THERE IT IS!!!
This. Is. The. President. I. Voted. For.
So, some of Manny's fellow Purity-Left Libertarians have gone and polluted the air by wondering: does this mean that the President agrees with Manny? And this has caused some of you Lumpenproletariat to become confused and agitated, as you easily do.
And so it falls to me, a big thinker with a big brain who gets paid the big bucks, to explain this all to you so Medicaid won't have to spend money on antipsychotics to keep you voting for the correct Democratic candidates.
So let me begin by answering this question about the President agreeing with Manny, in a clipped one-sentence paragraph that will disarm you by oozing off-the-cuff sincerity:
NO! NO! A MILLION TIMES, NO!
Let's dig a little deeper, shall we?
First off, Goldstein and the President disagree on everything, from the need for Social Security to cover three meals a day, to the efficacy of alpha lipoic acid in slowing the course of diabetic autonomic neuropathy. It is simply inconceivable that they'd agree on anything, so don't conceive of it or you'll feel silly, trust me.
Second, just take a look at what your fellow DUers are writing about Manny in his twisted post. Now take a look at what Right-wing crazies like Michelle Malkin are writing about Obama's speech: same stuff!
So put down your Budweiser or whatever crappy beer you drink because it's all you can afford, and try to concentrate for a moment and think about what this means. OK, since you probably can't figure it out, I'll tell you: to believe that the President agrees with Goldstein is to believe that some DUers have the same cognition skills as... Michelle Malkin. It would mean that they're unable to grasp simple English, and prefer to instead hurl malicious, sick and disgusting accusations based on total bull@#$%.
Since we know that DUers would never do that, we can only conclude that the President said something entirely different than what Manny wrote.
QED, baby! Nothin' but net!
Now, a few of you might be thinking: "My good Third-Way man, you are of course incredibly smart and totally beyond reproach, but I still have trouble seeing the difference between Goldstein's and Obama's positions. WTF?"
Bad news, my polite friends: as is always the case, if you don't see the problem, then YOU are the problem. In which case I have NO responsibility to explain it to you.
And in conclusion, let me put the final nail in Goldstein's Purity-Left Libertarian coffin: in the very TITLE of his horrific post he wrote "a few years back".
Yes, he wrote that.
On a discussion site where decent people discuss decent things, he wrote that.
Thank God that a number of sharp DUers picked up on that disgusting phrase, and told Goldstein where to stick it.
It boggles my mind.
Regards,
Third-Way Manny
