An absolute masterpiece. Not often is a movie this moving and this informative. Deeply affecting. The framework of Isabel Wilkerson’s thesis is so well explained, and Ava DuVernay's choice to make Wilkerson's journey of discovery (and her personal traumas) central to the movie make this a gripping watch.

When you realize that caste is the mechanism that enables supremacy and subjugation, not just race, a lot of pieces of the puzzle fall into place.

Wow, I’m shattered. In a good way.
