We keep destroying the ecology and all the life on this planet. The more GDP grows, the more life dies. It should stand for Gross Death of the Planet. People know its destructive, but were so caught up in it ow that we don't know how to live any other way. We always get a small victory like this. Its almost symbolic, but serious damage is already done, and its hard for it to compete with the energy output of nuclear. Everyone still wants to live with the energy consumption and lifestyle we have. Thats why wind or solar doesnt get addopted, because it would involve not only addoption but reduction in electricity usage.
