Why didn't President Obama allow DNI to brief the 56 electors who wanted to be briefed about the Russian interference in the election?

NO INTEL BRIEFING FOR ELECTORS, DNI SAYS
http://www.cnn.com/2016/12/16/politics/no-intel-briefing-for-electors-dni-says/
President Obama said "NO" to Intel briefing for the 56 electors who wanted the briefing.
Although it would have been a "long shot"..it is possible that at least 37 electors pledged to Trump might have cast their votes for HRC, if they had been given the briefing.
(In that case, we would be celebrating the presidency of Hillary Clinton tomorrow, instead of that child-raper)
