Bush was a better candidate. But the media determines how we judge our candidates. It determines how much to focus on issues, how much to hold the feet of politicians to the fire when they make claims or assertions or try to get by with vagaries or folksiness.

ARGHHH> does the media affect our political system or doesn't it?
