114. Would you name some of the real Democrats you remember?

I am 74.

This is how I see our presidents.

I think FDR won fewer votes in his last election than previous elections and the country was becoming more right. Truman came close to losing to Dewey. Then Ike came along and was middle of the road. JFK moved left on social issues after he was elected. Johnson fulfilled Dems' dreams of Medicare and was left on social issues, but wrong on Vietnam. Nixon was Nixon. Carter was middle of the road. Reagan took us right. Bush and the Republicans took us further right. Clinton was middle of the road but reviled by the right just as Obama is. W was a disaster all the way around; he was the evangelicals dream candidate and better than Cruz would be. Obama has been an excellent president, but only slightly left.
