Whenever I've had Jehovah Witnesses or some other religious folks stop by my front door, I look at them and simply swing/close the front door immediately (you can usually see their bibles in their hands so you kind of know what they are there for), exercising my 'castle' doctrine (shut the front door doctrine).

Not a single word said by me during the whole brief encounter.

I don't have to listen to them or explain myself to them. My front door. My time, rest, whatever, and I'm not going to let them waste a single second of it, or waste a single breath on them.

They have no rights around me. By what right do they have to bang on my front door and then try to talk to me about something
that they have no prior knowledge of me, my history, my particular beliefs, anything?

It is very insulting to me if you ask me. And I also lost all respect for them when they intruded themselves onto my grandmother (who was very fragile/elderly at the time, preying (literally) on her), and my dad too. I chased them off my dad's property one time.

Vultures.
