Christians bemoaning the rise in atheism and "nones" have only themselves to blame. Fewer people are buying into what they're saying as we move toward becoming a more tolerant people. The groups they like to attack are more out in the open and have friends that people like Swanson consider "normal" and to whom he is directing these attacks, desperately crying, "Believe meeeee! I have God on my siiiiiide!", but more and more aren't buying it but instead getting upset that he's attacking their friend, sibling, nephew/niece, etc.
