is emergency contraception. Because its main mode of action is to prevent sperm and egg ever meeting, and thus a further risk of non-implantation or later spontaneous abortion, that far outweighs the chances of it preventing the implantation of an already-fertilised egg. Anyone who thinks a fertilised egg is a 'person' should be advocating easy availability of the morning-after pill.
