The uncharitable read is that, if she rakes in all the money from the suckers, she's very far from cray cray.

With most of these pseudoscientific claims, it's really hard to tell if the proponent is cynically exploiting the rubes or is sincerely deluded. If I had to bet, I'd say that Paltrow is sincerely deluded but sees this product as a chance at "doing well by doing good." She can magnanimously help spread the benefits of meditated-over face cream and turn a nice little profit while doing so.
