It's a decent attempt, but it ultimately misses out on the most fucked up part about that story:

Pharaoh was ready to give in and let Moses and the Jews leave Egypt unmolested. But God hardened Pharaoh's heart, so he would not let the Israelites go so easily. The Israelites could have left without further injury visited upon the Egyptians, but God, with his vengeance boner raging, said: "Fuck, no. No one is getting out of here until I get to kill a bunch of kids".

Lovely story.
