Religion In The Comics - 035 [View all]
Here are a couple of comics about that devout Christian, Adolf Hitler. IMHO, I think these Christian comics publishers should stay away from the man with the moustache. He couldn't have gotten where he was without the support of the Church.
The first story is from Spire Comics. I have featured them in the past here at RITC. They did some Archie comics and Barney Bear in Toyland. The full comic can be read here: http://flashbak.com/hansi-the-girl-who-loved-the-swastika-the-full-comic-10700/
While Spire Comics is out of business, another publisher has taken up the cause. I mentioned them in last week's installment They are Kingstone. Their books look pretty slick. Here's their website: http://www.kingstonemedia.com/ and here is their Hitler comic:
I like the way they incorporated the swastika in the title.
This was written by Ravi Zacharias. Here's a blurb about what this book is about: After committing suicide in his Berlin bunker, Adolf Hitler has a surprise encounter and conversation with Jesus Christ and Dietrich Bonhoeffer.
Ravi has written similar books in which Jesus has conversations with Buddha, Mohammed, and Oscar Wilde. I think this is totally dishonest. None of these men are able to speak for themselves, and must see their thoughts and ideas twisted and distorted by this apologetic. This isn't just a straw man, it's a straw deadman.
