2. Does "anti-gay" ever also not equal "closeted, self-loathing"?

You would think that closeted, self-loathers would have learned by now that being publicly homophobic is the clearest signal they can send that they're having trouble reconciling their sexuality with their ideology?

Or, maybe they know that's what everybody assumes and are waiting for someone to say, "hey, it's OK, you can be yourself -- it's hypocrites that nobody likes, not gays."
