8. I went to graduate school in Buffalo, NY in the late 90s to mid 00s

and spent a lot of time on the Elmwood strip when I wasn't busy with school. My favorite local band names from that era were "Ominous Sea Pods" and "Jack Lord's Hair". "Atheistic Vermin" would have been a natural fit on the strip at that time.
