5. As an atheist at many a religious wedding or funeral

it never crossed my mind to publicly demonstrate my non-belief as an act of protest. Instead I participate in their ceremonies as they wish them to be observed. Out of simple respect for my fellow humans in our shared journey through life. What flaming fucking assholes those people were.
