11. You TN Commies have zoning?

Not round these parts! The Southern county in which I currently sit has been trying to pass zoning laws for YEARS.

But recently in the local paper, for the nth time, I was informed that zoning is "creeping Socialism," among other Bad Things. And it all started with Karl Marx. Or maybe Stalin.

Few years ago, they got a Bite-In-The-Ass similar to yours. Not as funny, though.

Some local citizens were outraged that the 10,000 church/Jesus/God billboards around here had some serious competition - billboards advertising strip clubs.

They went to the local gub'mint and demanded to know what they could do about this Moral Scourge.

The answer - nothing. The county had no laws that would allow them to touch those billboards. Like, you know, zoning laws that might limit their number, location, etc.

I would have asked the concerned citizens why they hated capitalism...
