As someone who has survived this far is a miracle IMO.

Next year at 62 I am facing becoming a Social Security recipient. After working McJobs for over 30 years, what they took from my check was a deep sacrifice since my generation is the *only* generation to have paid into Social Security for BOTH my parent's generation and my generation. So I am so glad it is there and irritated at the desire to dismantle it when all that could be done is raise the $108,000 income limit and EVERYBODY would have this for a limitless time. Younger people should think and talk about this as it is their future at stake!

Believe me this time comes so fast when you think you have years to go and that "working on this later" puts it off. Just keep speaking out about Social Security because these greedy SOBs are slobbering for the Trillions that are sitting in the SS reserve. They have already borrowed from it (this is the "lock box" issue that Gore tried to speak about and stop them from doing this) and legislators have *no* intentions of paying it back. This is an issue!!!

Phew, maybe I should start a post about that in GD or sumpin. LOL!
