In reply to the discussion: The HUGE blow to Romney comes the 7th and 8th, [View all]NJCher

I realize everybody wanted to see Obama kick Romney in the nuts and then stomp him while he was down, but that is not and never has been Obama's style. Yes, he wants to be "liked" but he also is very calculated with his campaigns. I have every belief that last night went EXACTLY as planned.
Yes, Obama is above all a thinker and a planner. The news coverage focus of this debate is all wrong. It should be on how r-money pulled an about-face and presented new positions. No one is paying any attention to that! It is so bizarre.
Now, some people are calling what romney said "lies," but I am not sure that is true. I guess it is if his web site still says his position is one thing and what he said on TV is another, then he lied.
I am thinking that because of Romney's long streak of disasters, he felt he had to change his positions, which he did--but on national TV in a debate with the president! Not really the place to do this!
I am so thoroughly disgusted with the news media for jumping on the bandwagon and magnifying this erroneous impression of what happened in that debate. It must be hard to be President Obama right now and to have to live with this nonsense.

Romney is now married to his lies. Obama gave him all the rope he needs to hang himself.

I don't think that it's even true. And if so, I doubt the public will treat it as 'HUGE'
