Starhawk wrote this book in the seventies and it was released in 1979. Do you want to know how to make magical tools? It's in here. Do you want the basic spells and meditations which will guide you into developing into one hell of an activist witch? It's in here. Star writes in a very easy to read way and has also thrown in some of the Feri myth in story form. She updates this book evey ten years since it's first release. The reference section is well thought out and, I personally, use it to this day. If you are looking for a good, basic how-to book, this is the one.

While Margot Adlers' Drawing Down The Moon is an all-around view of the Pagan world, Starhawks' Spiral Dance is an intense focus study on this one part of that world. Enjoy.
