(10,252 posts)I'm 76 yr and was raised an Episcopalian from childhood. Later as an adult, I became interested in Buddhism, which is not really a religion, but a practice of training one's mind. There is no creator god in Buddhism. There is no invisible sky god, who suspends the laws of physics, biology, science, etc. All things arise based on previous causes and conditions. So to say there is a god, begs the question of who or what created a creator god? Then who or what created the creator of the creator god ad infinitum.
I don't contradict my Christian relatives and friends about their religious beliefs, it wouldn't change them if I did. Besides they have very strong emotional investment in their religious beliefs. Some of them get quite angry and hostile, if I talk about Buddhism.
