3. Chappaquiddick Island off Edgartown, MA.

Perfect, unspoiled beaches and you have to take a little ferry across from Edgartown to get there. You can park and ride car less or drive on but there is a 3 car limit. It's a fast trip of just a few minutes. One paved road, the rest are dirt and have no lights. My daughter and family have a house there. It is delightful in the late spring, summer and early fall. Winter is very dark but gets very little snow.
