Denmark fans but no Welsh to be allowed into Amsterdam for last 16 game [View all]

Denmark’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that Denmark fans will be allowed into the country for the game – while Welsh fans will have to stay at home.

Erik Brogger said that Denmark fans can travel to Amsterdam for the Wales game if they spend less than 12 hours in the Netherlands.

“You can get to football, but you have to plan quite carefully if you do not want to risk being quarantined in a hotel room,” he told a press conference today.

“It should be technically possible, but you have to plan it pretty carefully. For most people, it will probably be better to stay at home. We encourage you to watch the match at home.”

The Netherlands have said they will not be letting Wales fans into the country for this weekend’s tie due to Covid-19 restrictions.

I can understand that Covid restrictions are causing this, but is it really fair that no Welsh fans are allowed to attend the game but Danish fans are?
